A high-level round table on impact investment was held in Paris at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the launch ceremony of the new Livelihoods Fund for Family Farming (Livelihoods 3F) on February 4th. Danone and Mars, Inc. are the founding investors behind this new, innovative fund. Four distinguished guests expressed their views on the significant role that impact investment will have on development aid in the future: Sir Ronald Cohen, Chairman of the G8 Taskforce on Impact Investment; Lionel Zinsou-Derlin, President of PAI Partners and Chairman of the Franco-African Foundation for Growth; Tony Simons, Director General of the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) in Nairobi, Kenya and Emmanuel Faber, CEO of Danone.
